Dane's First and Second Day of School

Sweet Baby Dane. He was so nervous about his first day of school he cried for 45 minutes before we left. As we pulled up to preschool and he saw the other kids walking in looking so brave he turned to me and said, "Mom, I was just tricking you... I was trick crying not real crying. I am ready for school." He walked right in and loved every minute.

The top picture is the first day, and the bottom pictures are from the second day. I adore my little guy.

Hiking in Auburn

We took the kiddos and Q on the best hike on Saturday. It was such a perfect kid-friendly hike, with a little stream and pools to play in... the boys had a blast. The crunchy granola in me loves getting outside and letting the kids and dog go wild.

Summer

Posted by PicasaOkay, I know I am posting random pictures, but I am trying to figure out how to blog using Picasa. According to some really with it bloggers, Picasa is going to make it a lot easier.

New BFF

When you are five all you need to declare someone your new best friend is one afternoon of playing Hullabaloo, Wii, and eating lots of finger food.

A Few of My Favorites

Posted by Picasa We had the best time in Carlsbad this year. We played at the beach everyday, ate tons of great food (including the BEST lobster tacos), and stayed up late playing games. It was perfect. I am already counting down the days until next year.

The First Day of School

Jack asked his teacher to call him Jack Spencer, because he has another Jack in his class. He told his teacher he did not want to be called Jack C. and so everyone in his class has been calling him Jack Spencer. I love it.
Jack has the sweetest Kindergarten teacher, she hugs each student as they walk into the classroom... Oh wait, she hugs every student except Jack because he told her he is "not a fan of hugs," so Jack puts his hand out and shakes her hand instead of giving a hug. I need to get a picture of little Jack Spencer giving his teacher a hand shake, it's pretty dang cute.

Dane-O was so sad for Jack to start school. He cried all day the first day. Poor guy.

Jack asked me as he was getting ready for his first day, "Mom do you think the other kids will have their shirts tucked in or out?" He decided that having it tucked in would look "more classy."

A Weekend with Grandma and Papa

Last weekend Spencer and I enjoyed a 3 day weekend in Tahoe without the kiddos. My parents flew into town to hang-out with Jack and Dane-O. The boys were spoiled with love and attention... and of course movies, Happy Meals, toys, books, puzzles etc... I do not have any pictures to post of Spen and I in Tahoe, because we were to busy having a great time.

I have posted tons of pictures from the last few months. After spending a weekend with The Queen of blogging I am motivated to get back on board and start blogging again. We kicked of 2012 with a trip to Disneyland. It was sooo much fun! I seriously can't wait to go back. The kids loved every minute. Baby Dane turned 3 in February and Jack Attack turned 5. We have spent the last couple of months going to Jack's Tee Ball games. I think he loves the snack bar slushee after the game as much as he likes playing Tee ball. Spencer turned THIRTY this month, and we spent a weekend in Yosemite to celebrate. It was absolutely beautiful, just another reason why I love California.
